ARB, Inc. has now completed eleven large diameter horizontal directional drills in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach over the last ten years. Three of these horizontal directional drills for the Port of Los Angeles were accomplished in 2004.
The three most recent projects were performed under two contracts. One contract was for the installation of 3,033 feet of 36-inch steel casing with 30-inch HDPE carrier pipe for reclaimed water as well as 1,505 feet of a bundle of six 8-inch HDPE electrical conduits. A separate contract called for the installation of 2,645 feet of 30-inch steel casing with a 26-inch HDPE liner.
