The Elk Hills Power Plant contract of over $100,000,000 was a complete turnkey assignment that included the installation of two General Electric 7FA Combustion Turbines, two IHI Heat Recovery Steam Generators, a single General Electric D-11 Steam Turbine Generator, Step-up Transformer, Electrical Building and Common Services Building. Bringing Elk Hills on line added 500MW of capacity to California's critical energy needs.
ARB's scope of work involved all of the mechanical piping, civil work, balance of plant piping, electrical, and instrumentation. All concrete work was self-performed by ARB personnel and also installed were over 11 miles of 16 inch water-supply pipeline, 5 miles of 8 inch water disposal pipeline, a 3750 GPM Pump Station and miscellaneous work associated with that system.
